Bloodborne Pathogen Program

The Blood-borne Pathogen Program is provided and implemented to reduce the risk of an occupational disease encountered through an exposure to blood-borne pathogens. It should be the policy that all employees be aware of the Blood-borne Pathogen Program and that each employee follows the safety guidelines to reduce the risk of an exposure.  Blood-borne Pathogens are defined as any bodily fluid which may be excreted from one’s person.  For example, vomit, blood, mucus, etc., are all carriers that potentially transmit blood-borne pathogens.
